Service Foods CEO Named as 2011 Georgia Top 25 Entrepreneur by Business Leader Magazine
Service Foods and CEO Dr. Keith Kantor selected as the top entrepreneurial firm for food distribution, innovation, nutritional health and wellness, and environmentally friendly practices from the more than 500 other nominees
ATLANTA, November 7—Service Foods, a leading provider of all-natural, high-quality organic food for home delivery, is pleased to announce that its CEO, Dr. Keith Kantor, has been recognized as a 2011 Georgia Top 25 Entrepreneur for food distribution, innovation, and nutritional health and wellness by Business Leader magazine. The environmentally friendly company was also named as the top green entrepreneurial company in Georgia.
The Top 25 Entrepreneur awards program recognizes companies and their CEOs for their profitability, growth, sustainability and entrepreneurship. The final list of Top 25 Entrepreneurs was compiled following countless hours of research and field interviews conducted by Business Leader magazine and its accounting partner Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen. The award winners were announced during a special ceremony held on November 3 at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center.
Service Foods and Dr. Kantor were singled out as the top entrepreneurial firm for food distribution, innovation, and nutritional health and wellness from the more than 500 other top companies that were nominated. Under Dr. Kantor’s leadership, Service Foods has posted an impressive increase in sales and employees over the last five years. The company is also proud to be fighting the healthcare crisis in America by offering a large assortment of all-natural foods and counseling clients in leading healthier lifestyles by providing healthy cooking videos, educational articles and fitness demonstrations on the company’s user-friendly website.

Thanks to its commitment to environmentally friendly packaging and work practices, Service Foods was also selected as Georgia’s top green entrepreneurial company in Georgia from amongst the hundreds of nominees. In the overall Top 25 Entrepreneur list, Service Foods and Dr. Kantor placed third, just behind law firm FSB Fisher Broyles and IT staffing company Principle Solutions Group.
“It’s an honor to be named as one of the top entrepreneurs in Georgia, and I truly appreciate the recognition. I realize that this award has much to do with the fact that the Natural Products Association appointed me to its committee charged with selecting the product criteria and label specifications of all natural meat and poultry products in the United States. Credit also goes to the All-Natural Food Council of North America for allowing me to lead our industry’s transition to all-natural foods and healthy living,” said Service Foods CEO Dr. Keith Kantor. “We owe a great debt of gratitude to these great non-profit organizations, along with the outstanding employees and clients of Service Foods.”
Earlier this year, Business Leader Magazine also named Service Foods as the Top Small Business of the South. The awards program recognizes firms with 100 or fewer employees that do the majority of their business in nine Southern markets: Triangle, Triad, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami. Each company’s one-year and five-year revenue growth, business achievements and community involvement were evaluated for the rankings. With an impressive increase in sales over five years, Service Foods beat out 300 other companies to earn the honor.
