During his visit, Woodall expressed interest in Service Foods’ work to highlight the role dental care, allnatural foods and proper nutrition play in overall health, and the company’s collaboration with Terry Lemons, DDS, of Lemons Dental Esthetics. Woodall was further impressed by Service Foods’ work with the physicians of Vital Healthcare Group and their efforts to include clients’ food orders on their medical records.
Woodall also wanted to congratulate Service Foods on recently being named a finalist for three prestigious business awards, and also thank the company for creating jobs throughout his Congressional district and the state. Service Foods has been recognized by the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, Business Leader Media’s Top 300 Small Businesses of the South and Georgia Trend magazine’s GA FAST 40, all of which honor outstanding businesses for their achievements and community involvement.
Woodall spent the day touring the facility, meeting with Service Foods’ CEO Dr. Keith Kantor and President Harold T. Pounders, and enjoying lunch with the staff.
“I really appreciate Service Foods’ President Harold Pounders and CEO Dr. Keith Kantor for inviting me to visit and tour their Norcross facility,” said Woodall. “It is inspiring to see businesses like Service Foods flourish in Gwinnett County. Small business is the backbone of our country, and I will continue to advocate for free enterprise and American innovation.”
U.S. Congressman Rob Woodall (R-GA) (center), met with Service Foods’ President Harold Pounders and CEO Dr. Keith Kantor during a recent visit to the company’s headquarters Woodall made arrangements to meet with Service Foods after Dr. Keith Kantor, CEO of Service Foods, traveled to Washington, D.C., in April to meet with members of Congress and their staffs to promote awareness of all-natural products as part of the 14th Annual Natural Products Day. Kantor, who is a member of the Natural Products Association’s committee that is working to establish and uphold stricter label specifications and product criteria for all-natural meats and poultry, explained to legislators that numerous studies have proven that eating nutritious, all-natural foods and leading a healthy lifestyle reduces the risk of developing diseases such as diabetes, cancer, obesity and heart disease.
Kantor, who also serves as the vice president of the All-Natural Food Council of North America (ANFCNA), also provided Woodall and additional lawmakers with information about the ANFCNA, which is the 48-year-old governing body of the entire shop-at-home food industry, and its efforts to promote all-natural foods and healthy living as an effective way to drastically lower healthcare costs in the United States.
“We were honored to have Congressman Woodall visit our facility and were very proud to introduce our employees and products to him,” said Dr. Keith Kantor. “He understands the healthcare crisis affecting both our local community and entire United States, and we look forward to working together with him to make a healthy difference in America, one family at a time.
